Queen Farm and the high-tech durian growing model
Queen Farm Director Nguyen The Tung said that the 55-hectare farm is growing nearly 10,000 Musang King and Ri6 durian trees, planted since mid-2020 and using Israeli drip irrigation technology, saving both care and water resources. The farm is applying the IS0 9001:2000 quality management system standards. This is a systematization of processes to coordinate, orient operations as well as better management, ensuring that products and services provided to the market meet requirements.
Currently, the durian farm is growing well. In addition to regular garden inspections, Mr. Tung's farm also uses a camera surveillance system to monitor the trees and take timely measures to prevent and control pests.
On this occasion, the delegation also listened to Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Director of Linh Binh Phuoc Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. introduce and test the automatic sprayer and weed chopper he invented. Mr. Linh said: “The automatic sprayer will save 2 workers compared to traditional spraying. In addition, instead of spraying 700l/1 ha of durian like the traditional spraying method, when applying the machine spraying, it only needs 400l/1 ha. Not only saving labor and costs, the automatic sprayer also helps the amount of pesticide sprayed evenly on the tree, just enough for the tree to absorb, while protecting the user's health and avoiding environmental pollution.
